For Monday:

Produce a 12-Panel Storyboard, where the story within can be completed within ONE MINUTE.
Your subject is DEALER'S CHOICE in subject and Genre.
You must KNOW your story's GENRE!

  • Bring in one story (LIVE ACTION or ANIMATION) of the SAME genre with TYPED notes on the following:
  • Shot Rhythm
  • Color Palettes
  • Character and Environment Design. (including costume and prop design)
Your Storyboard will also have the following supplemental content:
  • Character Design Model Sheets
    • 5 Views: Front, 3/4 Front, Side, 3/Q Back, Back
  • Environment Design Model Sheets!
    • One large black and white drawing on each page.
    • Every environment design must include one BLOCKING reference.
      • Blocking references work like blueprints, showing where characters, environments, and cameras are located.
As part of your research, I have included on the server a PDF copy of the MOUSEWORKS MODEL PACK, a collection of designs from Disney cartoons of old!

Maximum character count is 3 characters, Maximum environment count is 2 environments.
